With 52 participants our PCAM PhD seminar series had a superb lift-off. 11 university partners were represented in this online event, from Italy to Russia.

The chairman of PCAM, Horst-Günter Rubahn, moderated the event and introduced the network and the benefits of participation for students that can achieve a European doctorate certificate on top of their PhD. The online seminar series then got started with a talk from Mariam Ahmad. Mariam does her PhD at SDU in Denmark with Morten Madsen as supervisor. It was also Morten that gave a short introduction to the Organic Solar Cell facilities in his group at SDU. As co-hosting institution Nadine Witkowski presented some of the possibilities, Sorbonne University is offering, including what her group is focused on. She invited the network for visiting her in Paris.
The main talk from Mariam focussed on a comprehensive view on ‘Functional interlayers in organic solar cells, providing deep insight into this rapidly evolving branch of organic solar cells.
